At Affordable Roofing we use flexipoint, this is the waterproof membrane for the ridge caps and tiles. It seals the cracks in the bedding between the ridge caps and the roof tiles. So if your old roof has a leak and the leak is caused by water entry through the ridge capping, then flexible pointing will stop the leaks.

Once the bedding and pointing under the ridge capping of concrete tiled roofs start to crack – leaking can be a problem – unless weep holes have been drilled. 

Water can seep in between the cracks of cracked bedding around the ridge capping.
